Launch of the Berber Jewelry Collection from the Royal Palace, the inaugural Qatar-Morocco 2024 Years of Culture exhibition.

The exhibition “Silver Jewelry from the Royal Palace Collection” at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha marked the beginning of the Moroccan cultural year in Qatar, aiming to promote values of dialogue and cultural exchange. This exhibition represents a historic moment as it is the first time Qatar hosts an exhibition dedicated to a North African country. It presents an important opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries through cultural bridges.

Description

Berber Jewellry collection from the Royal Palace, the inaugural exhibition of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture, features more than 200 historical and culturally significant pieces from Morocco’s Oudayas, National Museum of Adornment in Rabat. The Royal Palace Collection represents the diverse regions of Morocco, from the Atlas Mountains to the southern provinces. The exhibition is open to the public from February 21 through May 20, 2024 at the Museum of Islamic Art, Doha.
